Robert Campbell, Director-General of the National Institute of Japanese Literature (NIJL) in Tokyo, reads a Japanese fairy tale titled “The Wonderful Tea Kettle” (Bunbuku-Chagama). This English translation, by Mrs. 噸. 生態城市. 詹姆士, is found in an illustrated “crepe-paper book” (chirimen-bon) in the Pulverer Collection at the Freer Gallery of Art.
