MFA的藝術家: Liu Xiaodong

在 2008, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston commissioned Liu Xiaodong to create a work for inclusion in the 2010 展覽, “Fresh Ink: Ten Takes on Chinese Tradition.” The work comprises nine portraits of Boston-area high school students painted on one large scroll. Liu’s intense engagement with the teens he painted makes the work a unique collaboration.

Social observation and critique are at the heart of the work of Liu Xiaodong, one of China’s premier contemporary artists. His vignettes of modern Chinese life provide moving glimpses of a country in transition to a world power.
