Damaged Berlin Landmark: In mid-January, a car driver crashed into one of the pillars of the Brandenburg Gate at high speed. The driver was killed in the accident. The building repairs will cost 39,000 Euros, and new ways of protecting this Berlin landmark in the future are currently being discussed.⁠
