Dresden’s Baroque old town, replete with towers and turrets, viewed from the opposite bank of the Elbe: beauty that would makes anyone swoon. The incomparable panorama once overwhelmed the painter Bernardo Bellotto – known also as called Canaletto – in the 19th century.
