What happens in disaster areas after the media attention has gone?

A new global web platform, FROMZERO.TV, is following the everyday lives of people slowly building a new beginning.

On April 6, 2009, a major earthquake hit the mountain region of Abruzzo in central Italy. The city of L’Aquila was almost entirely wiped out.

Emergency tent camps were quickly set up to provide temporary shelter for the 60,000 homeless inhabitants as they waited for the city to be reconstructed.

Camp Centi Colella is one of those camps; set up on a football pitch, it became home to 800 people as they slowly tried to rebuild their lives.

From Zero: Next Moves is the second of two documentaries following life inside the campgoing beyond the news into the everyday reality of the people facing the task of rebuilding their city and their lives.

So what happens when an entire city with all its public and private structures disappears in just one day, leaving its inhabitants living in tents?

From Zero: Next Moves chronicles the creativity, spirit of survival and improvised solutions to disaster that characterise the human race.
