In Session: Curated Chaos-Free creativity w/ Aaron Steele

Order through chaos. A star is eventually formed from random bits of matter. A house is eventually built from piles of raw materials, starting with the basement (that no one will see but is a crucial foundation). Perhaps weak metaphors, but they serve to illustrate also how a song is made. It starts with exploration and experimentation, and it slowly comes together.

This process in the beginning of songwriting will be the focus of Aaron Steele’s In Session. He will demonstrate how he embraces and utilizes chaos to arrive at the beginnings of the aural structure of a song – something he calls the “hypothesis.” Or as he eloquently puts another way, “starting with something that feels like something that could turn into something.”
