Learning from Lake George, presented by Dr. Cody Hartley, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum | 演講

The period when Georgia O’Keeffe made regular visits to Lake George is the most productive of her career and coincides with her emergence as a professional artist, admired by critics and the public alike. Yet Modern Nature is the first exhibition to look closely at her work over these years. In this talk, 博士. Cody Hartley, director of curatorial affairs at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico shares discoveries and revelations made evident by gathering the Lake George work together and thinking about O’Keeffe’s time in New York State as a template for the lifestyle she later established in New Mexico.
