“現在, Speak!” by Amalia Pica, 一月 20, 2014

On Martin Luther King Jr. 天, members of the MFA’s Teen Arts Council (TAC) and local community leaders deliver historic political speeches for the inaugural performance of Amalia Pica’s “Now, Speak!” a cast-concrete lectern that prompts live performance. The first performance art piece acquired by the MFA (2013.1829), this interactive sculpture explores how our voices can activate art objects, create social space, and reinterpret history over time.
