Ryan / Laidlaw: Uneasy Syzygies, Of Us and Art: 這 100 Videos Project, 插曲 74

This collaboration brings together makers from three different realms of expertise: 視頻, 陶瓷, and neuroscience. Dave Ryan is a media artist who works with interactive video installation. Mika Negishi Laidlaw is a ceramic artist who works with slip-cast porcelain and hand-built earthenware. Steve Ryan is a neuroscientist specializing in sensor design. This exhibition explores the possibilities of syzygy—a pair of connected but opposing forces—through the conjunction of ceramics and interactive video projection.

Dave Ryan is a fiscal year 2016 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage funds.
