紋身期望與現實

在這段視頻中,我們將深入探討紋身期望與現實背後的理論!

Often times we all get tattoos with the highest hopes in mind for the final product that will forever live within our skin. We have the concept, idea, we have the overall notion of what we want our tattoos to look like.

Heres the thing what we want our tattoos to look like versus what they will look like when they are healed are 2 different realities. Allow me to explain.

When getting our tattoos we have to consider many many many different variables such as tattoo style, tattoo artists abilities, our budgets, all the way down to our lifestyle. Say we get a small dainty tattoo that has fine lines and is on the wrist, well the chances of that tattoo healing well are slim to none because of the natural wrinkles and motion we make each and everyday with our wrists.

When we deposit ink into areas that naturally crease upon moving we are moving the ink around on a micro level which impacts the overall tattoos integrity. Some areas that are wrinkled naturally over others, versus areas that are more open like the forearms and shins. These areas have little to no creases and the natural movements in these areas are like at the wrists and fingers. So naturally open areas with no natural creasing going on are likely to heal better and hold it’s integrity.

Don’t get me wrong most tattoos heal well and look great through out their lifetime however there are those that do not hold their integrity and get lost somewhere along the way. There is truly so much to consider but let’s not get overwhelmed. Some basic and important variables to consider upon getting a tattoo would be the placement, the style of tattoo, the tattoo artists skillsets, and your overall lifestyle.

Do you use lotions often?
Do you work outside?
Are you in the sun often?
Where do I want the tattoo?
What style of tattoo will I be getting?

These are some basic questions I wished I asked myself prior to getting a tattoo. These questions get me thinking with a more practical headspace so my expectations of the tattoos are more aligned with the reality of the tattoo.
