Tranquility and Nature: DW’s Nicole Frölich Discovers the Darss Peninsula on Germany’s Baltic Coast

The sound of the sea, untouched nature and idyllic villages – sounds amazing, right? DW’s Nicole Frölich takes you along on a trip to explore the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula on Germany’s Baltic coast, also known as Darss.
We start off with horseback riding along the beach. 下一個: Collecting amber and discovering the wild north beach with its unspoilt forest. Darss was always an interesting place for artists, who were inspired by its untouched nature. Nicole visits the artist town Ahrenshoop. In Prerow, she meets up with a master carpenter who makes the traditional colorful wooden doors that the Darss is famous for. Nicole goes on a tour of the peninsula’s national park with its fascinating natural landscape before she her trip comes to an end – too soon.
