With holiday footage taken many years ago before the war, Laura tells the story of her family’s regular trips to Syria to visit relatives in Damascus. Hoping to reconstruct a positive image of the past, she begins sharing her memories with Lujain. The problem is that Lujain, who fled to Canada, has no memories. Suffering from the trauma of war, she has forgotten many of their times together. As they reconnect, they begin to rebuild their friendship and reflect on how war continues to affect every relationship long after it ends.
