Catalans compete in largest human tower contest #shorts

Catalonia hosted Spain’s largest competition of human-made towers this weekend — the first time since officials were forced to shut it down because of the pandemic.

This particular competition held in the Tarragona bullring, a city in northeast Spain, has been taking place since 1932.

The towers, 或者 “castells,” are considered anintegral part of (Catalan) cultural identity,” according to UNESCO.

The largest and most complicated tower took home more than $15,000 in prize money.
