Dhruv Rathee visits Chichen Itza in Mexico | A Trip Back to Mayan Times

Time travel to the Maya: Join Indian YouTuber @Dhruv Rathee and his wife Juli as they explore the archeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico! Starting in the popular tourist spot Cancún on the Yucatán Peninsula, they take the 2.5-hour drive to visit the Mayan ruins and ancient structures. The highlight is the Temple of Kukulcán (El Castillo), a 24-meter-high pyramid.

As impressive as the Mayan architecture is, learning about some of the brutal rituals they practiced is not for the faint hearted.Chichen Itza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as one of the most visited archeological sites in Mexico. Dhruv’s tip: Pay the entrance fee in cash – it’s cheaper than with credit card.Dhruv and Juli also visit the nearby Cenotes, water-filled limestone sinkholes. Of course, Dhruv can’t resist jumping into one of them.
