Do Americans Have to Pay to Get Into Germany in 2024?

Following a change in EU rules, US citizens will have to apply for a new visa to travel to Europe starting in 2024. In total, visitors from more than 60 visa-exempt countries will have to apply for approval from the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before travelling when the change takes effect.
