Et demain…by Serge-Aimé Coulibaly & Faso-Danse-Theatre (And tomorrow…)

What separates the banal from the powerfully meaningful or boredom from violence? It is such a fine line; and the finer the line, the greater the distance between the privileged and underprivileged of society. What is the moment when the complacent moments of waiting for a better and more promising future turn into a violent escalation? When do bodies that were just teasing each other, showing each other dance steps or balancing on top of a wall, in danger of breaking out into chaos? After collaborations with Alain Platel (“Wolf”) and Sidi-Larbi Cherkaoui (“Tempus Fugit”) choreographer Serge-Aimé Coulibaly (布基纳法索) has created “Et demain” his first and quite unsettling group piece.
