Mallorca – Where Germans like to drink and party | Travel tips for Mallorca in spring

The Ballermann on Mallorca is the stuff of legend – in Germany, at least. The word refers to a section of beach on the Balearic island stereotypically frequented by Germans – some of them behaving badly. For the locals, this kind of tourism has been problematic for a while, defining the island’s reputation as a place to party – and not much else besides.
DW’s Lukas Stege visits the Ballermann – but not just that. 毕竟, off-season, the island has much more to offer than just parties, palm trees and beaches: 文化, nature and restful tranquility.
