WATCH: After rains, Brazil’s Iguazu Falls rages 10 times the norm | #短裤

Heavy rains in southern Brazil have caused water levels to surge at Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site that sits on the border with Argentina.

Waters raged 10 times higher than usual. The water flow is usually recorded at about 395,000 gallons per second but was recorded Thursday to have risen to over 4.2 million gallons per second.

Park authorities reopened the main footbridge on the Brazil side of the falls this weekend after the high water forced closures earlier last week.

The flooding comes after months of severe drought in the region.
