American Art at the Core of Learning: “The Great Chicago Fire through Primary Sources” Part 1/2

Teaching with art can help educators address the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (CCSS-ELA). In this video (part one of two), Heidi Moisan and Megan Clark of the Chicago History Museum demonstrate how works of art made in response to the Great Chicago Fire can be used as primary sources in a workshop designed for younger children. American Art at the Core of Learning was developed by the Terra Foundation for American Art.
