American Art at the Core of Learning: “The Great Chicago Fire through Primary Sources” Part 2/2

Teaching with art can help educators address the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (CCSS-ELA). In this video (part two of two), Heidi Moisan and Megan Clark of the Chicago History Museum use different kinds of primary sources, including an historic map, photographs, and letters, to uncover the story of the Great Chicago Fire in a workshop designed for younger children. American Art at the Core of Learning was developed by the Terra Foundation for American Art.
