Ana Vizcarra Rankin | PAFA – Visiting Artist Program
Ana Vizcarra Rankin makes art about maps, travel and the general sense of being in and of the universe. She spends time in the equatorial as well as the polar sides of the binary; world maps with Antarctica at the top, and dark circles filled with stars and surrounded by the ever-developing horizon. She has exhibited extensively including at PhilaMOCA, PA; Rowan University Art Gallery, NJ; The Gallery at Instituto Cervantes, IL; and Bickett Gallery, NC. Rankin’s work is held in numerous private and public collections, including Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Brandywine River Museum of Art, Uruguay Cultural Foundation for the Arts, Peoria Riverfront Museum, Brooklyn Art Library, and Print Council of Australia.
