Arles – About Bullfighting in Provence (travel documentary in HD)

Bullfighting in Arles (southern France) is different from the classic bullfighting in Spain. In Arles bullfighting is not a bloodthirsty spectacle.

Arles, a small Roman town in Provence in southern France. In the bullfighting school of Arles even 10 year old kids are preparing under the watchful gaze of Gérald Rado for their dream job as a so-called raseteur. Unlike the usual bullfights where the bull usually will die, the bull in Arles is considered as sacred. It is rather a game than a battle with the bull. They do not die in the arena, but mostly of age. The risk to face the bull in the arena is like a drug to the bullfighter.
