Basic Dance – by Paz Rojo

Paz Rojo created a solo. Then she began to work with dancer Cristian Duarte on a possible translation in order to transform her quite personal choreography into a solo pice for Duarte. The question is how to negotiate one’s own history as a dancer? How can “I” be embodied? “Basic Dance” is an encounter. It is a negotiation that creates a space of closeness and change. Both dancers establish a
choreographical relationship as a fight for materialization. A fight with loss and violent adding, a struggle with appearance and dissappearance.
