Blautopf: Have you ever seen anything so blue? | #shorts

The legendary “Blautopf” (Blue Pot) is a spring that acts as a water source for the River Blau near the town of Blaubeuren. Its named for the deep blue color of the water.💙🔵🟦⁠
There are a lot of myths about what causes the water’s color but, at the end of the day, it’s just a sicentific phenomenon called the “Rayleigh scattering.” In this case, it’s occuring because limestone particles in the water are reflecting light!💡☀️⁠
