German guy gave up his old life to travel the world in his DIY Land Rover !

Whilst on the road in the Middle East in the 1990’s, British foreign correspondent Simon Dring crosses paths with a peculiarly futuristic-looking vehicle. This metallic monster was fashioned into a permanent campervan by a 42-year-old German man who now, along with his several dogs and wife, call the place home. A pair of nomads, the two now have ambitions to build a boat on which they can make it to the Pacific ocean.
