Gravity Biking: An inclusive extreme sport
Phil Hall was a passionate downhill mountain biker. In 2003, he suffered a spinal cord injury in a motorbike accident that paralysed him. When the self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie was looking for a new sport, he came across some four-wheeled, downhill mountain bikes in the US: gravity bikes.

“After the first couple of days of riding I was completely sold on the feeling of freedom and independence this sport provided, along with the crazy speeds, the challenging terrain and plenty of adrenaline! Now I simply eat, sleep, live and breathe gravity biking… it is my passion and feeds my desire to push the limits”, he said in an interview.
Phil wanted to make Gravity Biking more popular in the UK and to inform, educate and encourage more people to join. The Rough Riderz club was born.
