Landscape, abstracted: Jason Middlebrook’s “Tread Lightly”

Jason Middlebrook was invited to paint an 80 foot wall for the Museum’s new “Landscape, abstracted” exhibition. Middlebrook’s signature patterning weds the geometry of modern abstraction with the lines of wood grain to “create a tension between something organic and something man-made.” See the artist’s process in this video.
