Nervous System: Kinematics Dress Design and 3D-Printing Process

The Kinematics dress represents a new approach to manufacturing in which design, engineering, customization, and simulation are part of one seamless system, so that the object, once fabricated, is fully finished and complete. The 3D printed dress is on view as part of ‘Making | Breaking New Arrivals,’ on view at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum May–October, 2017.
