Rhaetian Railway: Spectacular views of the Swiss Ruinaulta canyon
At the Rhine canyon, known as Ruinaulta, the Anterior Rhine impressively shows what it’s capable of. The Rhaetian Railway built a bridge across the canyon a century ago. It is one of its most spectacular legs, but also one that requires precise monitoring.

Bruno Cadosch has worked for the Rhaetian Railways for the past fifty years – a true railwayman at heart, he’s responsible for the track between Disentis and Chur, which runs straight through the Ruinaulta. Even today, he is full of admiration for the engineers’ and construction workers’ achievements when the railway was built.
