Public phone booths are finally becoming a thing of the past in Germany. The last functioning booths were disconnected by the end of January.⁠
⁠Why? One-third of the remaining 12,000 booths were not used at all in 2022.⁠
⁠Although some enjoyed a second life as discos or libraries.⁠
