The Senses: Design Beyond Vision: Volumes

This video has audio description for people with limited vision.

Designer Marije Vogelzang created Volumes to change our visual perception of food quantity. Inspired by consumer psychologist Brian Wansink’s research on portion control, the Volume objects are intended to nestle among food, giving the illusion of a fuller plate. When perceiving more food, we feel more satiated after eating.
