This Golden Angel Opens Nuremberg’s Christmas Market

The Christkind of Nuremberg in 2022, 18-year-old Teresa Windschall, officially opened the city’s Christmas market. The Christkind is an angel-like figure who is the traditional bringer of Christmas gifts in Southern parts of Germany and other European countries. Nuremberg has been electing its own representation of the Christkind, or Child Jesus, since 1948.⁠
