Like clockwork, Truss announced her resignation just as leaders of the EU 27 were congregating in Brussels for a summit. Italy is asking for a bit of respect after The Economist put a Welcome to Britaly headline where Liz Truss is portrayed as a centurion holding a pizza pie for a shield and a forkful of spaghetti for a lance.
