Keith Devlin is one of the world’s greatest mathematics communicators. He assures that 21st century maths is based on creativity: “Most people still think that math is just formulas and calculations, but that’s what machines do now,” he says. Devlin is a mathematician, professor and author of more than 30 books. He is also the co-founder and director of the ‘Advanced Research Institute of Human Sciences and Technologies’ at Stanford University. His research focuses on the use of different media to teach mathematics to the general public. In this video, he explains the curious relationship between mathematics and the popular series ‘Game of Thrones’.
