How I Tattoo Dotwork

Have you ever thought about tattooing dotwork?

In this video we will dive in and take a close up look at my thought process, logic, performance and all I do upon tattooing dotwork.

I feel when applying dotwork there are multiple variables I am considering. I am considering my voltage, my needle configuration, my needle throw, my needle depth, my machine, the stroke size I am using. I personally love using a 4mm eccentric stroke wheel as it hits the way I like.

When applying dots I practice patience an I personally like to use a 03RL. I am ok with using a standard and or a double zero 03RL as well to apply dotwork. With dotwork we want to be patient and be gentle. We DO NOT want to drive the needle into the persons skin as we are using a small configuration that can ruin the skin and cause serious damage. We want to be gentle, calm, and collected upon applying dot work and apply the dotwork with just the very very tip of the needle.
